The Washington College Dance Club is presenting its annual Spring Dance Concert. This is a great opportunity to experience the arts in an entertaining way. Each year, the members of the dance club work hard to create a performance that showcases what they have learned. Members of the club come from all backgrounds of dance. Some have been dancing all their lives, while others are just starting to embark upon their dance journey.

The club and performance are entirely student-run. More experienced dancers teach weekly classes all year and even begin choreography for the spring show during the Fall semester. The dances range from hip hop, to musical theater, to classical ballet. Having a lot of variety adds more excitement to the performance. The show will also include two numbers from your favorite school dance team, ShoTroupe! Kendall Davis ’16, ShoTroupe captain and Dance Club member, said, “I’m really proud of the wide variety of styles that we have exhibited in this semester’s showcase!” There will be a number of large and small group dances, as well as solos performed by each senior dancer.

Come out and support your favorite dancers! They have worked very hard to perfect their technique and you will not be disappointed. The performances are Friday at 7:30 pm and Saturday at 2 pm. The club will also be selling flowers in the lobby and raffling off gift baskets as a fundraiser. Tickets are free!
