Let’s face it: college is tough. There are so many new experiences to face and handle all on your own. The last thing you want to do is feel helpless when you face a serious dilemma. A very common issue that people experience is car problems. Many students have their parents or a trusty mechanic at home to quickly resolve anything that goes wrong with their car. But what happens when you go off to college? Luckily, you are not alone here at WAC and there are several resources available to assist you.
If you are facing car trouble in the parking lot here at school, the first thing you should do is call Public Safety. They can jumpstart your car and unlock your car if you get locked out. Public Safety can also help you contact assistance if you need a tow, for example. The office is also open 24/7 so someone is always available to help. If you experience car trouble in town, you can call the Chestertown police or a local mechanic. The police in town always look out for your best interest and are willing to provide any help they can. Although Chestertown is such a small town there are several auto mechanics around so you always know there is a shop available.
So when find yourself in a sticky car situation, do not hesitate to reach out for help. There are plenty of ways to get the help you need. The Washington College and Chestertown communities are here to make this your second home.
