Last night, the brothers of Kappa Alpha hosted the fourth annual Wing Bowl to support their Movember fundraiser. The event itself was a huge success with a great turnout. Brother Ben Fizer ’19 said, “it is really exciting because it’s my first wing bowl.” From 4-6pm for $10, students were welcomed into the Egg for all they could eat wings from Buffalo Wild Wings. Brother George Roros ’18 said, “we got 2500 wings in the back of the truck and brought them. We also may have extra shirts so if you’re interested see one of the brothers.” The brothers and judges named brother Tim Regan ’17 “Brother of Movember” for best moustache. Everyone who attended was laughing, taking pictures, and enjoying the endless amount of wings. Brothers set up go Fund Me pages where friends and family could help them meet their own personal donation goals. Their efforts helped spread awareness for men’s health in general but to also spread awareness for prostate and testicular cancers. Parakram Karki ’19 said, “it’s great, I love helping people. It’s good to be on the other side of something other than myself.” Personally I thought it was great to see the brothers working so hard for the entire month of November to help spread awareness for an important cause. Senior Ian Moore said, “I’m going to miss it and all the wings.” Everyone said such positive things and all said they can’t wait for next year’s wing bowl!
