Things To Remember During Syllabus Week

thumbnail_student-taking-notes.jpgHappy second semester everyone! To all the seniors, congrats on completing your last fall semester here at Washington College! This week is probably one of the most relaxed weeks of the semester that we all know and love. Yet we all seem to be a bit lost the first week cause hey, it’s a new semester and we all tend to forget sometimes. With that being said, here are a few tips to help everyone have a fun, successful, and stress free syllabus week!!

  1. Make sure that you have all your materials for the class. Bring a pen with you because more than likely you’ll want to take notes about what the professor mentions because it may not be clear on their syllabus.
  2. Don’t forget to order textbooks! Lucky for our students, ordering from the book store on campus is super quick and easy. Just login to WebAdvisor and click buy my books and from there you’re all set!
  3. Don’t be afraid to drop a class that isn’t for you. We have these few days to really get to know whether or not a class is for us. If you don’t think you want to take a class you signed up for, walk over to the Registrar’s office and they’ll gladly help you get a drop/add slip to help fix your schedule.
  4. Enjoy the week! This week will probably be one of the very few weeks that aren’t entirely stressful.

With a new semester among us, don’t be afraid to strive for good grades and learn something. Have a great semester!
