Tomorrow is a big day for students who applied to be an RA. In Daly, there will be group interviews with those in charge of Resident Life as well as those who are currently RAs. I myself am going for an interview and I’m incredibly nervous. Instead of stressing I want to give those who are also going in for an interview tomorrow some positive thoughts and helpful tips to help rock your interview.
- Be Positive! Nothing says confidence like having an optimistic outlook while you’re in your interview.
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions. If you don’t understand something someone has asked you, ask them to rephrase it. They’ll be more than happy to ask again!
- Get to know those around you. Talk to everyone. Introduce yourself and don’t be shy! This is a great way to improve your communication skills.
- Be as polite and professional as possible. Use please and thank you as well as yes sir or no ma’am when speaking to adults. It leaves a very good impression!
So, those of you who are going out for your interviews tomorrow, good luck and be positive! NO matter the outcome you have done an excellent job just by simply being asked for an interview and going through with it. Have a great time tomorrow and remember to be confident, you have made it this far.
