As the weather is warming up so is the chance of more rain. Rainy days can be hard, they can damper your mood, ruin plans and even make it hard to get out of bed. However, the rain should never make things harder for you. The rainy days should be a reminder to all of us that sometimes we need to take a break and slow down from our crazy, busy lives as college students who juggle a million things constantly. We need to remember that there is still time to get things turned in, completed, all the while taking time for yourself. Rain also has the tendency to wash away stress. It can be a peaceful, tranquil, and a silent reminder to take a deep breath, relax, and recreate the plan of action that you had for your day.
Rain can also be a positive reminder of growth and new beginnings. Flowers need water to grow and so do people. Sometimes the rain cleanses and makes everything seem more clear, they give things a new perspective. These are things we should consider on the rainy days. Rainy days may not be so bad. Sometimes if they’re on a Saturday and Sunday, it can be a good idea to curl up with hot tea and a book or even reorganize your desk or closet. Rainy days don’t have to be sad, gloomy, and boring. They can be productive, creative, and busy. Make the most out of rainy days and don’t be afraid to!
